About Us
Peeling trim, faded siding, and water stains can make your home look tired and can let water in. At Nelson House Painters, we fix the root issues then paint as your interior house painter, exterior house painter, and roof painter in Nelson.
We bring years of hands-on work in Nelson homes, so we know how sun, humidity, and storms beat up coatings. We avoid the big failures such as painting damp wood, skipping primer on chalky stucco or cedar, or rushing in full sun, because those cause peeling, bleed through, and lap marks.
You get a clear scope, a right sized plan, an exact start window, daily updates, tidy work areas, and careful protection for floors, furniture, plants, and roofing. We match products to your surfaces, we backroll where needed for grip and even build, we keep a steady lead painter on site, and we stand behind the finish with a written workmanship promise.
Interior work covers drywall repair, sanding, caulking, priming, and two smooth coats on walls, ceilings, trim, and cabinets with low odour paints so rooms look sharp and you get back to normal fast, while exterior work includes pressure washing, scraping, sanding, spot prime, full caulk, and the right application method with brush, roll, or spray and back roll so the paint film builds right and seals out weather. As your roof painter we clean and treat rust on metal, coat tile or shingles where it makes sense, test adhesion, and use safety harnesses, and we guide you on timing such as repainting exteriors every five to ten years and busy interiors every three to five years or sooner if you see peeling, hairline cracks, water stains, or chalky colour, because skipping prep or painting in the wrong weather leads to early peeling, blistering, mildew, and costly wood or drywall repair.
